Toys For Tots Holiday Gala at The VINE at Bridges

Annual Bishop Ranch Tree Lighting Ceremony

Join Sunset Development as they kick off the holiday season with their annual Bishop Ranch Tree Lighting Ceremony and Holiday Event.

This event is free.

The event will feature numerous family activities including:

  • Spectacular lighting of a 65-foot holiday tree at 6:30pm;
  • Live music and various entertainment on two stages;
  • A snow play area for kids ages 12 and under;
  • Photo opportunities with Santa, who is taking time from his busy schedule to meet and greet the San Ramon community;
  • Vendors selling lots of refreshments;
  • One Warm Coat and Food Bank of Contra Costa will be on hand to accept donations.

Bah Humbug! 5K Run/Walk

Saturday, December 7

Bishop Ranch #2 on the corner of Camino Ramon and Bishop Dr.

Start the holiday season off with a healthy fun run or walk through San Ramon. Participants will receive a holiday long sleeved t-shirt and plenty of goodies provided by local sponsors.

Awards: Medals are given to the first three finishers in each age division. Costume awards will be given for Most Grinch-Like, Best Holiday Spirit, and Best Group Theme.

Holidays on the Farm

Enjoy an old-fashioned celebration at Holidays on the Farm on both Saturdays. Admission is FREE! Two of Santa’s reindeer will make a special visit!

Each Saturday, enjoy entertainment, tractor rides, Victorian ornament making, sheep herding demonstrations, and visits with a Victorian Santa.

On Saturday, December 7, the Puppet Company will present “The Nutcracker” at 11:30 a.m. Also, there will be a special Holiday Market with vendors on December 14.

Tours of the farm and Glass House Museum will be available for $5 per person. Presented by the City of San Ramon and the San Ramon Historic Foundation.

John Muir Pediatric – Holiday Teddy Bear Breakfast

Often children need added security in their life. Something they can talk to and tell their deepest secrets, something that can be held tightly and that will help them be safe,
and many times this security is provided in the form of a Teddy Bear.

All proceeds from the 5th Annual Teddy Bear Breakfast are dedicated to meeting the health needs of children at: John Muir Medical Center Walnut Creek Pediatric Department.

Visit with our Teddy Bear and Santa, Music, Face Painting, Surprises for children and adults. Bring your camera for great photo opportunities!

More than just a ballet, San Ramon Valley Dance Academy’s production of “Impressions of the Nutcracker” incorporates multiple dance styles in a fast paced production that follows the traditional story line of the Nutcracker. Follow Clara on Christmas Eve as she takes a magical journey to the Land of the Sweets with her enchanted Nutcracker Prince. In just over an hour, this popular story ballet performance will delight and entertain the whole family.

San Ramon Chorus & Dancers Holiday Celebration

A Charlie Brown Christmas with David Benoit

Danville, CASince launching his recording career in 1977, David Benoit’s expansive career as a contemporary jazz pianist and composer has included over 25 solo recordings. His prolific output since 2000 includes several prominent Charlie Brown related projects (including Here’s To You, Charlie Brown: 50 Great Years and the star-studded 40 Years: A Charlie Brown Christmas) that reflect his lifelong passion for the music of original Peanuts composer Vince Guaraldi and solidify Benoit’s role as his music heir.  Ticket Costs: $50-$65
