It doesn’t seem that long ago that parents huddled under blankets and warm coats braving cold mornings and starting times that began at the crack of dawn.  Armed for all day tournaments and weekends in inclement weather, traveling distances far and near, parents of San Ramon Soccer players devoted their time and patience to watching their children play outdoor soccer.

It’s time again for San Ramon Soccer to hold its annual U8-U14 AZURI Competitive tryouts and Copper Select evaluations.  For competitive players who want a more advanced level of play with professional training, San Ramon Soccer offers AZURI and the Copper Select program.  With this level of play comes a greater commitment of both time and finances than a recreational league, offering a longer playing season and the ability to play in tournaments.

For a complete description of the days and times for the Tryouts and Evaluations, San Ramon has information posted on their website here.

Since 1973, San Ramon Soccer has prided itself on serving the residents of the San Ramon Valley with a complete soccer program.  San Ramon Soccer serves the needs of a diverse and evolving community, providing athletes from the ages of 5 to 19 the ability to play soccer, regardless of their level or ability.

Soccer is one of the most popular sports in the San Ramon area and children all over the city spend their weekends in either recreational or competitive soccer leagues.  Depending on the child’s interest and level of play, San Ramon has different leagues.  Less competitive players are coached by their parents and learn the basics of soccer while more competitive athletes are taught by professional coaches and trainers who teach skills, techniques, and the theory behind the game.

Taking advantage of all of the soccer fields San Ramon has to offer, athletes practice during the week, depending on their level and ability, and play games on the weekends at nearby parks set up expressly for soccer.

This Friday San Ramon Soccer will be relocating to 12885 Alcosta Blvd., Suite B.  Not only will this house San Ramon Soccer’s new office, but it will also provide athletes an indoor training facility with two regulation-sized competitive Futsal courts.   The indoor training facility is the only soccer establishment owned by a club in the Bay Area, and only 1 of 3 in Northern California. The Futsal courts will be used for tournaments, leagues, and training session and there will be areas dedicated to speed and agility training as well space for classes and meetings.

San Ramon Soccer anticipates the opening of the facility at the end of February and will operate remotely during the meantime.  Information about San Ramon Soccer can be obtained on their website at
